The Next Cultural Icon, Super Dog –vjj
- This is truly a favorite for me and the students. You can't help but love this newest little superhero! The bonus is that you get to see these endearing canines across the levels and the children enter the texts easily and eagerly! (Posted on 2/3/12)

imagination –Betty
- All students dream of being a "super" character. It is fun for them to imagine Jack as "Super Dog." (Posted on 2/1/12)

But can you fly, Super Dog? –Helen C
- When Jack is unwilling to share his red cape with Daisy, she wants proof that he has super powers. This delightful book not only provides ways to teach dialogue, expression, fluency, inflectional endings, contractions, and silent e words, but also examines consequences of our words and actions. Jack almost gets caught when he brags about his ability to fly. Luckily he is" fast on his feet" in redirecting Daisy's attention! (Posted on 1/25/12)

Just Fun! –Patti
- The adventures of Jack and Daisy continue in " Super Dog". The children squeal with delight at Jack wearing a red cape and Daisy taunting him when he won't share it with her. Jack and Daisy are favorite familiar characters in our classroom and we love to read and find out what shenanigans the pups get themselves into. (Posted on 1/25/12)

Wonderful dialogue! –Dale
- Super Dog gives students lots of practice with intonation and dialogue. The characters are engaging and students own the story from the very beginning. I love to hear, "Do you have more books like this?" (Posted on 1/25/12)

Jack and Daisy can both fly! –Jacqueline
- This book is delightful! Students enjoy the humor, and it makes for wonderful practice for reading with expression and intonation. It provides a variety of patterns of language that are useful for my ELL students to practice: Can you fly? - Yes, I can fly. I'm going to fly away in my red cape.- You are not flying. -I will fly away after lunch. (Posted on 1/16/12)

An enchanting story –Jules
- I teach Reading Recovery and this is one of my favorite books to use. All my students love it. The story's gentle humor enchants them and they read it, eager to find out what will happen to Jack and his cape. The story is one that my students request to read over and over. I can highly recommend this wonderful story. (Posted on 1/15/12)

Daisy is awfully Sassy in this book! –Beth V.
- Both boys and girls delight in all of the Jack and Daisy books that I have, but I get the best response after introducing this one. After Jack won't let Daisy try on his cape, they love to use a sassy voice (as Daisy) to challenge Jack with, "Can you fly, Super Dog?" and later with "You are not flying." Such great dialogue!
