Research Base for Literacy Wings™
Literacy Wings was developed by Dr. Michele Dufresne, children’s book author and Early Literacy Consultant. The program has been through extensive field study and revisions over a seven-year period. Currently, Literacy Wings is being successfully implemented in a variety of school settings including large high-poverty, urban schools, suburban schools, and small rural settings.
Literacy Wings is:
- Comprised of daily intensive, fast-paced lessons integrated with engaging characters and stories
- Proven to provide accelerated reading growth
- Designed for Tier II and/or Tier III struggling readers
- Easy to use
- Effective and research-based
