CIA--Canines in Action –vjj
-
Daisy goes MIA. This crisis sets Bella, Rosie and Jack in action too! Ring, ring! Ring, ring! "What was that?" These clever canines connect the clues! My students love this story. There is just the right amount of "work" for the children to do at this level along with a couple of repetitive phrases to bolster their confidence.

The Whole Package –Denise
- After reading "Daisy's Bell", I absolutely fell in love with Jack and Daisy and I am sure all of the students will too. Most students are animal and pet lovers in these early grades and are always eager to hear about the new adventures of these cute dogs. This seems to be a story that will really keep the students engaged and motivated to read while keeping the meaning of the story at the forefront as they try to determine if Daisy will be found. It also promotes higher order thinking skills such as inferring based on the information in the text paired with students' personal connections and background knowledge. In addition, there are several opportunities for students to "take words apart" to problem solve while integrating sources of information. What a great addition to our Reading Recovery books! Daisy's Bell –Jacqueline
- "Daisy's Bell" provides a longer, more complicated story with more characters and events. It will keep students reading to find out what will happen next. (Posted on 1/16/12)

Angela, You are indeed correct that C/3 is too low for Daisy's Bell. That is an error on the website that has since been corrected to a G/12. Thanks for having a diligent eye on our site! This is why we value customer feedback so much!

Levels correct? –Angela
- I see that this book is a level C/3. That seems a little low for this one. It has lots of more difficult words and the word count is pretty high and there is a lot of text on each page. Please let me know if this is a misprint. (Posted on 1/10/12)

"Daisy's Bell" is exciting and challenging. –Debra Smith- DS
- Daisy is missing and the bell helps find her. How exciting! A bell ringing can be annoying, but not when it helps find the missing Daisy! This book is challenging to the reader, but keeps the reader engaged. Read to find out how the bell helps Jack and Daisy. You will love it! (Posted on 1/10/12)
