When Little Elf decorated the Christmas tree, it appealed to one of my students and to my grandson, age 5, who laughed in delight as he realized he would only be able to reach half way up the tree just like Little Elf.
This book hit home just at Christmas time for a student who is struggling to accelerate and for my Kindergarten grandson who saw himself in the text with Little Elf. Keep them coming, Pioneer Valley! (Posted on 12/29/11) -

- I am an RtI Reading Interventionist. I used the Little Elf BookBuilder to make books for my students. When I handed each student their book, I told them they got to be part of the story. They immediately thumbed through the pages to find their names. Eyes lit up and smiles appeared on faces! Later that day, several students came up to me and told me that their book was the "Greatest book on earth"! A teacher of one of my students told me at bus time that the student we share had not put her book down all day.
