I think I enjoyed reading the book even more than my kids! I love that Santa had to go on a diet because he is too fat! Little Elf is the best helper because he will do anything for Santa. (Posted on 12/29/11)
Little Elf Has a Plan to Help Santa –Laura
My students adore the Little Elf Series. Apples for Santa does not disappoint! Children know the tradition of leaving cookies out for Santa and will relate to having too many cookies to eat. They will also recognize the theme of healthy eating since many have heard that from their own parents or grandparents. The funny ending where Little Elf ends up with a tummy ache from eating all of Santa's cookies will bring a laugh! (Posted on 12/29/11)
Diet for Santa –jessie
Great idea by Mrs. Claus to put Santa on a diet. Funny that she mentioned he couldn't fit through the chimney...how does he normally do it?! Kids will like that Santa is going healthy! (Posted on 12/21/11)
Little Elf's Diet Plan for Santa –Cindy
Love the fact that Mrs. Claus is a progressive wife, concerned for Santa's health. Clever Little Elf, in an effort to help Santa, decides to go down the chimney first, eat the cookies and leave an apple for Santa. Poor LIttle Elf didn't know that eating all of Santa's cookies would leave him with a "Santa-sized" belly ache. (Posted on 12/20/11)
Cute Story With a Twist at the End –Beth
Another great Little Elf story! It will delight readers as Little Elf tries to help Santa lose weight by eating the cookies and leaving apples instead! The surprise ending will leave young readers laughing! (Posted on 12/20/11)
