Jack and Daisy. –Jacqueline
- My third graders who read well below grade level loved the book. They enjoyed the humor about Jack and Daisy's confusion about not knowing what the puppy was. These longer books provide great opportunities to think about characters, events, and dialogue. We had a great discussion about what Rosie meant when she said, "You may get bigger, but you'll never be the boss." (Posted on 1/16/12)

Is it a puppy? –Jacqueline
- My third graders who read well below grade level loved the book. They saw the humor in Jack and Daisy's not being able to figure out just what this new creature was. These longer books have great opportunities for students to develop understanding about characters, events, and dialogue. (Posted on 1/16/12)

Good book if students are familiar with the characters –Virginia
- I thought the book would be best suited for early second grade. There was a lot of text on the page but I did like the use of dialogue throughout the book. The pictures were engaging. (Posted on 1/10/12)
